Go to www.stlouisfed.org and using the FRED database (FRED/Categories/Money&Banking/MonetaryData) find the monetary aggregates and look for (M1 and components). Then find the chart of the money multiplier (MULT). What is the multiplier? Why is it falling? What could that mean?
