I can recognize clinical signs symptoms of psychiatric illness across the lifespan. I can apply age appropriate psychotherapeutic counseling techniques with adolescent , adults and children. Upon the beginning of this class I have learnt the strength of family involvement in assessment, diagnosis and planning treatment for different ages from adolescent downward.

Having studied many of psychiatric mental health problems from DSM-V Criterion , I have the strengths of knowing the criteria to focus on when interviewing a patient. Also, I can change and follow the lead when patient is giving information upon interview.

I also have a strong knowledge of distinguishing between mental health diagnosis, and malingering, based on my experience working with highly affected population in my present work environment. Also I can easily figure out types of personality disorder and different type of psychotherapeutically effective interventions, which are evidenced, based.
