Summary of strengths:
I can recognize clinical signs symptoms of psychiatric illness across the lifespan. I can apply age appropriate psychotherapeutic counseling techniques with adolescent , adults and children. Upon the beginning of this class I have learnt the strength of family involvement in assessment, diagnosis and planning treatment for different ages from adolescent downward.
Having studied many of psychiatric mental health problems from DSM-V Criterion , I have the strengths of knowing the criteria to focus on when interviewing a patient. Also, I can change and follow the lead when patient is giving information upon interview.
I also have a strong knowledge of distinguishing between mental health diagnosis, and malingering, based on my experience working with highly affected population in my present work environment. Also I can easily figure out types of personality disorder and different type of psychotherapeutically effective interventions, which are evidenced, based.

Opportunities for growth:
I have great urge and ability to learn in any environment so as to be able to forge, multitask and performs beyond expectation in this field of psychiatric mental health practice. With a great desire I want to learn skills that will give me the ability to assess patient during interview and come up with accurate diagnosis without giving the patient or family member any benefit of doubt. I also have the urge to learn different available tools that will foster the care of patients in this practice.

1. Goal:
a. Objective: Recognizing clinical signs and symptoms of psychiatric illness across lifespan b. Objective: Ability to differentiate between pathophysiological and psychopathological symptoms /changes c. Objective: Performing effective psychiatric evaluation, assessment and treatment
2. Goal: a. Objective: Mental Status extermination documentation and effective performance b. Objective: Ability to assess functional assessment in the area of ADL’S, Occupational, social life, educational and leisure activities. c. Objective: Ability to apply ages appropriate psychotherapy counseling technique to individuals across lifespan.
3. Goal: a. Objective: Ability to be more accurate in formulating, developing and prioritizing diagnosis for patients across lifespan. b. Objective: Ability to interprets results of instruments accuracy c. Objective: Ability to accurately document psychiatric recommendations, and consultations.
4. Goal: a. Objective: The ability and improvement on referral of to other specialty provider when needed by patient. b. Objective: To be able to recognize and deliver care following the accepted regulation without violating my scope of practice c. Objective: To be able to deliver effective psychiatric mental health care to individuals across lifespan without being judgmental.
